Groups of Friends

A Group of Friends consists of local supporters working together to organise fundraising events and to raise awareness for the work we do here at ChildAid. By putting you in contact with other supporters in your area, you will be able to come up with fundraising ideas together and share the organisation needed to hold such events. We believe Groups of Friends will not only be an effective tool for raising much needed funds, but will also allow you to get involved in a hands-on way that you may not be able to achieve alone. Through Groups of Friends you will see the huge impact the money and awareness you raise will have on the lives of the children and families we support.

If you are interested in finding out more about Groups of Friends, contact Ruth by emailing fundraising@childaidrr.org.uk or calling 020-8460-6046. I will give you more information on your local Group and will help you get up and running!

Be inspired, think BIG, and let your imagination run wild!…

Individual Fundraising

We welcome all areas of fundraising and joining a Group of Friends is not the only way to get involved. Please do raise money for ChildAid through your own individual ideas and initiatives. From hosting a Russian evening to running a marathon for us, your options are endless! We also have a wealth of ideas for your fundraising schemes and would be more than willing to discuss opportunities with you. So don’t feel restricted to fundraise – do it however best suits you and help us to raise the money so desperately needed by the children across the former Soviet Union.

Shatter the Suffering appeal

As part of our new identity we have launched a national appeal called Shatter the Suffering that will run throughout 2006. We will be holding a variety of events as part of the appeal, in order to raise money and awareness of the work we do. Please visit the Shatter the Suffering Events Page for more information on what’s going on, and how you can be involved.
