Isle of Hope was a founder member of the Belarusian Disabled Society. Isle of Hope, however, is the only associated charity providing for young people.

Its main objective is to care for the human rights of teenagers and young adults, assist with their integration into society and to prepare them, where possible, for work and to gain a degree of self sufficiency.

The Isle of Hope provides day care for children and teenagers with physical and mental disabilities of various needs and degrees. Care is provided when children would otherwise be institutionalised and forgotten.

Each child has an individual program designed to address their particular development needs. Children have a different focus each week and staff are fully aware of this and work to support their development.

The majority of parents of children attending the centre are lone mothers. The provision of care allows parents respite and the time to go out to work.
