Fundraising at Church
As a Christian Charity, ChildAid seeks the prayerful support of our brothers and sisters in any denomination.
Please pray regularly for our work with children living with disability, children who are part of a family in crisis, orphans and abandoned babies. Include them, our projects and all the people of Russia, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine in the formal prayers of intercession in your worship.
Consider having a second collection for our work.
Please include the work of ChildAid in any service or meeting specifically concerned with overseas mission and ministry or Christian work with children and families.
Conduct a Bible Study on the themes of abandonment, poverty, disability or discrimination and discuss the modern Christian response to them by focussing on the work of ChildAid.
Would your Church or Christian group like to transform lives by sponsoring a child for £16 each month or by becoming an active and prayerful sponsor of one of our projects?
Make ChildAid the charity for your Lent or Advent appeal or include us in your tithing.
Swell our funds by having a stall at the church fete or seasonal fairs. Hold a quiz night (or similar competition) – and make it even bigger by playing against another church nearby - or even a knockout contest with your Churches Together partners, Deanery or Local Association.
Join us each Sunday in lighting a candle and saying a prayer for Orphaned children in Ukraine as part of our Year of Light for Ukranian Orphans 2009 –10 campaign.
