We value your prayers as they mean so much to our partners and ourselves giving us all the strength to serve the children and God.
Please pray with us over these issues and any others which you feel called upon to lift up to our sovereign Lord and Saviour
Summer Camps
Camps are vital in the development of the children and young people we serve. Not only does it give a respite from their desprate living conditions - be it orphanage or cramped homes - but also allows our partners to teach them new live skills and above all give them life changing Bible Studies. Pray that as amany children as possible can attend these camps organised by our partners and for trouble-free arrangements.
Seeking Mum, Ukraine
Pray that the authorities may receive more families for fostering through our partner and that the bureaucracy may be sped up to bring more children into loving Christian homes.
Helping Hands, Russia
Pray that their "3Rs" education programme and emotional, cognitive and spiritual work will be received enthusiastically by the children and begin to make a huge difference in transforming lives
New Beginning, Ukraine
Pray that the new foster home will be covered with His love and that the girls who move in will have their physical and spiritual lives fundamentally transformed. Pray also for more financial support to enable the work to be fully completed.
Hippocrates, Moldova
Pray that the building of the new therapy centre will progress unimpeded and without financial constraints - providing the facilities that the disabled children so richly deserve.
Isle of Hope, Belarus
Pray that the authorities may find it in themselves to look favourably on this work and begin to provide financial support.
Weekly Reflection
Each week we post a scripture or a quotation we have come across during the week, or a simple prayer that we have reflected upon or that has spoken to us in some way. It may be specific to the needs of our partners or the children, or indeed a request from any of our supporters.
You may wish to use our thoughts or reflections in your prayers for the forgotten children of Eastern Europe.
“No one has greater love than this, to lay down his life for his friends”, said Jesus. (Jn5:13)
The glorious gift of the Holy Spirit, which we celebrate again this weekend, tells us that if we really want to follow Jesus we must live our lives as a gift for others – no matter what the personal cost. It is not a treasure to be kept to ourselves. Giving like this is what our partners do every day. It is why our logo is an open hand. What will you give?
Speranta, Moldova
As we begin to plan for the next development stage once the educational programme becomes more established as the "norm", pray for new direction to be shown to us and the team at Speranta about how to work with improving the lives of disabled children.
Dniprodzerzhynsk, Ukraine
Relationships with local churches are vital to ensure that we can optimise our work with orphans. Pray that any barriers of mistrust or doubt can be broken down and that our work can flourish for the benefit of many young people.
